De FietsFabriek
(pronounced "De
FEETS-Fabreek") is a
young Netherlands
bicycle manufacturer
that offers a
comprehensive line
of automobile
alternatives for
forward-thinking
Dutch families who
want a friendlier
way to get their
kids around town.
The two
founders, Yalcin
Chihangir and Dave
Deutsch, joined
forces in 2002 to
build a more useful
kind of bicycle -
one that could
withstand Dutch
weather, maneuver
safely and easily in
traffic, and be just
plain fun. They
ended up launching a
bike-culture
movement, reflecting
the needs, tastes,
and inspirations of
their customers.
The frames are made
of galvanized steel
and powder-coated so
they can be left
outside without
worrying about rust.
Five-speed gearing
and smart design
make these
heavy-duty bikes a
pleasure to ride.
All over Holland,
you'll see young
mothers reaching for
these bikes first
whenever they need
to take the kids on
an errand. It's just
healthier - and a
lot more fun - for
everyone.
Today, with five
shops in Amsterdam
and offices on three
continents,
De FietsFabriek
is building devoted
relationships with
customers who range
from young single
moms to the Dutch
Royal Family.
The cornerstones of
the
De FietsFabriek
brand are unique
functionality,
superior quality,
and an operating
philosophy that is
grounded in
humanity. They build
bikes meant to not
only last a
lifetime, but to
change our lives
while shaping a
future we all want
to be a part of.
